Greetings from Romania on our second Sunday.......the following is a prayer written to unite us today!
O God of the new day,
thank you for all your gifts.
thank you for all your gifts.
The gift of life,
for the gift of love
and faith
and hope.
for the gift of love
and faith
and hope.
Thank you for the wonder and beauty of the world around us,
for the snow capped mountains,
the wooded forests,
and the rich variety of all that you have made.
Thank you that your love is not contained by earthly boundaries,
but is high, wide and deep.
Thank you for all you given us through your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
On this day of worship, accept our prayers for our world,
those elected to govern,
for the church of Christ in its proclamation of the gospel,
for our families and special people in our lives,
wherever they are today.
We hold in our prayers the poor people of the world and pray that the Kingdom of God may come on earth as it is in heaven.
We put our lives in your hands and ask our prayer in Christ's name...Amen
Thank you to all for your prayers over the last week, it's great to keep in touch in this way. You will be amazed to know that I have now given Daniel 14,350 pounds, for the work of Better Homes in the village of Tarlengeni. Your wonderful generosity means that peoples lives can be changed, and hope can be offered to some of the Roma people. Daniel was flabbergasted (his words) last night when I gave him the money raised from AMC Quiz night last week.

Thanks for sharing these with us. You were all very much in people's thoughts and prayers at this morning's service led by Ian G. It was a strong, thoughtful and uplifting service. Amongst the images to contemplate: the competing Dorothies (Lord Webber)contrasted with children in situations of real disadvantage such as you are sharing with us. Ian sang Judas and Mary and Fo interpreted this with dance. One World
